Jene again suggests that Jerry, Megan and he should do something “remarkable” for society together. So he suggests having some guests who can show them the way. The show will soon feature Jerome Pilette, who is riding his bike from Quebec to the tip of Argentina, and Harvey Lewis, who is – as we speak – close to finishing a run of the Appalachian Trail in near-record time.
Tonight, via satellite phone from his twenty-foot row boat in the middle of the stormy Atlantic Ocean, we’ll talk for a few minutes with Bryce Carlson, a teacher from Cincinnati’s Seven Hills School. He is their rowing coach and a former crew member at the University of Michigan. And boy, will he need everything he knows — He’s already lost his sea anchor, flooded his laptop and broke his boat’s dagger board in several gales that caused him to capsize.
Carlson is about 700 miles from Newfoundland, rowing alone to Penzance, England, trying to become the first American to make the trip. Should he finish in fewer than 55 days, it’d be a world record. Good thing we’re stopping him to talk to us, right?
Then, Jerry exposes Trump as a mouthpiece for Russian president Vladmir Putin. We will know the “why” one day- What Trump has done is against the security and interests in America.
